September Membership Meeting

Description:

Panelists: Kofi Darku, Marina Hadjioannou Waters, Tom Butera, Katey Humphries

Topic: Embracing our Immigrant and Refugee Communities in our Workforce

Indiana has one of the fastest growing immigrant and refugee populations in the country. If your organization is not learning how to tap into and embrace the potential of these resilient and hardworking community members, you are missing out on a huge opportunity in your workforce development initiatives.

Join us for this panel of professionals who are engaging in workforce development work directly with immigrant and refugee communities to discuss

1) the value this talent pool brings to the table,

2) the obstacles they may be facing to finding meaningful employment and professional development, and

3) some specific actions that employers can take to make their opportunities more accessible to and inclusive of this population.
